i've been switching between utorrent/winxp and sms ... because 1 thing i noticed is that my sms server, even thought its on the router's dmz, always seem to find less peers/seeds for the same torrent ... |

one of my beef with using BT on an X-less *nix box is the lack of asian language/font support. i dont need to input in CJK (chinese, japanese, korean), but it would be nice that the downloaded CJK fil ... |

so you're saying that the "base" s-m-s distro has more stuff than necessary to run torrent-only, and it is not possible to remove the "extras"?

You mention that SMS will make a good torrent station. This is exactly what I am looking for. I only want to run torrent, ftpd and samba on a p3-500/128mb.
Granted it is probably sufficient to run ... |
