Many apps are 32bit only, so having the ability to run both on SMS64 I think would be a good thing.
What does the community think?
AlienBob has a script that builds this capability into slackware64. I have enclosed the link for discussion sake:

What 32bit app you want to run?
32bit only apps are few.
My first thought was to create a multilib SMS64, in fact I had a build ready which never uploaded, but after doing some testing, I decide to release a pure 64bit OS.
What's the point installing a 64bit system if you are going to use 32bit apps, despite the memory factor?
Not all 32bit packages will work, and many of them, if not all, requires converting.

valid points. You are right about 32bit apps needing converting. That's what alienBob's script brings.
Anyway, I am using SMS64 and it seems faster. Have no hard data to support that claim yet. Anyhow, if and when I find a need for a 32bit app I will post for help |
