Hi,
even if this program is usually used between LAN computers I think it could be useful to also have an SMS version to allow manager to easily transfer files between his computer to the SMS display and then quickly have the required desired transfered file from his desktop to the server on which he must work.
Have a look : http://www.msec.it/blog/?page_id=11
Sincerely thanks and have a nice day,

Dear gerasimos_h,
sorry if it is in french but it correctly explain how is this interesting program :
http://sebsauvage.net/rhaa/index.php?2012/08/28/10/30/54-dukto-transfer-de-fichier-simple-en-reseau-local
Then use google to translate it if needed.
But after having test it on both OS (Linux Porteus distribution and Windows XP) they both installed it perfectly. I just still did not test the transfer.
For Windows version there is also a portable (not needed to install) version.
As my Porteus distribution allowed me to convert the .deb to a .xzm I presume you may use Porteus (live CDĂ or Slax (live CD) distributions to convert (by using existing standard scripts) to get the source code.

OK! I get the point, although I don't see a reason since SMS it's server and has already preconfigured shared folders via SMB, FTP and even AFP.
The binaries are QT4 dependable, so I'll have to include qt4 libraries, that's not a good thing.
The contents of packages are quite simple, that's why I need the source, and if it can be build with qt3 or else it needs to be build with qt4 statically.
Code: | usr/
usr/bin/
usr/bin/dukto
usr/share/
usr/share/applications/
usr/share/applications/dukto.desktop
usr/share/pixmaps/
usr/share/pixmaps/dukto.png |
I found the source (has a text link above downloads), didn't try to svn yet, will check it.

Hi,
> I don't see a reason
No reason at all just a suggestion because it is an easier way to drag and drop a file to the server (decided target folder). In place of opening a tool and doing a connection request before transferring file Dukto seems to just show the LAN Computers (and then the LAN server if same range) to allowing drag and drop file sharing.
Then if you consider it is not useful you stay the captain of the boat
Have a try and decide what you may or not given to us if you found it could upgrade your really good SMS server.
Sincerely thanks and have a nice day,
