I had a lot of requests from users requesting an XFCE add-on for SMS since the beginning of the project.
I never turned down the idea but was not so warm about creating an XFCE add-on, at least during that time.
Although DE is not our main goal, it's not a bad idea, having some additional options
A tabbed file browser with network support is a must for me, konqueror was one of the best in my opinion.
I built XFCE-4.8.3 with PCManFM and PCManFM-Mod and also Thunar-1.3.0 and I must say
I feel satisfied with the result, mostly from PCManFM which has tabs and network support, it's not konqueror but if I can l live with that, then I don't think anyone will have problems

I look forward to seeing it. I'm a long term Xfce user, and prefer it to KDE. Not that I expect to use a GUI on SMS often, but could be useful for the occasional times I do want a GUI.
I'm just about to install SMS to my new server box, hopefully allowing me to retire my old Amahi server and replace it with something much more flexible. I'll add Xfce when its available.
